Newly published research concludes massage is effective in treating chronic back pain

An original research study comparing the effectiveness of both relaxation and structural massage therapy to standard care for adults with uncomplicated (cancer, recent spinal surgery, spinal stenosis) chronic low back pain found both styles of massage therapy to be more effective in both the short term and long relief of symptoms as compared to “usual” care.
